Yeah, for me it seemed to work for five minutes every thirty minutes. This, of course, after it was delayed into oblivion for the evening. I did get some good sleep though!
Why don’t they just give a huge window for these updates (like 24 hours) so that if they get it done in 15-18 hours we’ll all be pleasantly surprised instead of grumpy, lol.
I couldn’t bring up my character screens all night. I think I tried about five times, at varying intervals, and finally gave up and passed out on the couch while Lycentia played GTAIV.
This morning, everything “works,” but even after updating all my add ons, I still had to disable all of them to get rid of the massive errors. Clearly, sifting through that shitshow will be this evening’s priority.
Revive was nice…But a guildie asked me to help him out and run him through some lvl 40 instances. I went in there, and was just one-shoting things left and right in cat (and my cat gear is my worst set of the 4 sets I have), then I pulled too much, went to bear, and wet my pants as I spammed swipe and it hit 10+ targets at a time. Endless rage. SO many crits.
Don’t tell anybody, but Druids could be the new aoe tanks. I knew it would be great, but playing it and reading it is so different. Sorry you didn’t get to play.
Hey, how come I have a little blizzard downloader icon that starts up after I exit game, and yet still have to download patches on patch day? WTF is it downloading after you exit game then?
I have no idea what it might be trying to DL/Install, but maybe hot fixes? I honestly wasn’t paying attention last night; I pretty much realized that nothing would be happening any time soon and did my part to lessen the load on the servers.
What you’re describing is essentially how I felt tanking the Nexus etc. in beta, and that was before many of the feral changes (like the limiter removal on Swipe). I really don’t think Rage will ever be an issue anymore, and the only thing I’m irritated about now, is that I can’t put together the build I want at 70 (and yet have zero of those problems on my other characters).
Tonight will largely be consumed with sorting out add ons and seeing what needs to be left behind (as I had to disable everything I updated last night just to get things to function this morning). Beyond that, I’ll try out the Feral spec I’ve outlined (sacrificing a few things I love so that I can get my paws on Berserk) and then, I’m honestly interested in trying out Balance–the tree is pretty incredible. Time to cash in my unused T6 tokens/honor/arena points/badges.
Strangely enough, the bonus armor on feral pvp gear stuck… now I’m in the situation of wanting to spend my excess arena points on S4 gear for tanking pieces
Oh man, the add-on loss just killed me. I knew it would happen, yet didn’t know how bad it would hurt. I literally just jammed a ton of points into feral because I had my feral dps gear on, and didn’t want to try and figure out what was my tanking set, what crossed over, and what was my best spell damage/heal set. I should have organized it all in specific bags when outfitter was working, and now I have to go through like 30-40 peices of what used to be healing or spell dps gear and try to figure out what is best for each form, and then get the new outfitter set up again when I get it.
There really was nothing better than soloing 30 supplicants with swipe in about a minute. Seeing things like mongoose up constantly, having infinite rage and 2k mauls…yum.
I’ll miss you, armor, but I’ll enjoy skyrocketing to exalted with consortium much more.
Yeah, I need to re-chant a bunch of my gear, namely my bracers, weapon, and chestpiece.
Also? Berserk is pretty hilariously cool. LET ME SPAM YOU WITH NEARLY 3K MANGLES FOR A BIT, K?
Good times. I have a few “concerns” that I commented with on your blog, but until the servers calm down a bit more and things stop lagging like a mofo, I’m going to just take it all in stride.
I’m part of a support team, opening new stores.. a lot of travel.. nevermind, thank you for writing interesting articles – I really like the (semi)hardcore feeling on this site!

You might want to. I’m not going to go out of my way to PVP at this point in time, but I am regemming the S3/S4 that I have.
